New account for ~AquillaLight
I do not have a paid account by choice. The community dA serves is worth it, but the service I've received, where my money would go, has shaken my interest.
I am in the process of moving all my old submissions and favorites from the old account to this account. Please do not mind fave/submission notices as I clean up the old account!

There was system maintenance the other night, and I couldn't access my dA account. I was so afraid I got hacked into, again..... But it just seemed dA was just buggy.
Cept now, I can get into my account, but when I browse other people's pages, it won't load. I see the shadows for the thumbnails, but not their art, or the page loads as a grey screen.

Odd! O.o


Edit I still am having this problem in FireFox. Any ideas? I cleared the cache/cookies, and removed all add-ons installed. Nothing works.
Clean reinstall of FF?

Yeah, saw that one. It'll never happen. I mean really, just look at dA- we're really just a small percentage of the artists out there. And if everyone here is flipping out, there's no way that bill will pass ^^

but yeah, doesn't stop art theft. *behindinfinity actually had someone steal his cosplay photos and say they were him o.O odd case, yes, and the impersonator was stupid lol But you do still have a point. And a watermark will help prevent that unless the theif is really persistent... but they would need some high-end art app. and the time to tweak the image. In the end? it's not likely ;P

Things like this scare me. Will some dA watermark (or any) defray the worst? No. But it may be better than using nothing at all.

I watch everyone's scraps :3 but sounds like a good idea, getting a watermark. I don't bother, I just know a law suit can be filed if someone tries to sell my stuff. I have all the originals, after all ^^; I don't care too much about people posting in else where.

But I see your point. theft is never a good thing to do.

Oh, and until I make a watermark, my art is mostly in scraps. So it may appear I don't update much if you don't watch the scraps.

After my account got hacked into, and seeing so many artists get stolen from..... I want to be careful about protecting my work.

Been in a bit of a slump, actually. I was working my first job, the job I trained for for the past year (phlebotomy) and many months searching for a position, and JUST ready to leave training behind and start really working, out "in the field" so to speak, and drawing my patients.
But I fell on the ice at work, and have been in too much pain to even handle 90 minutes of walking/driving at once on crutches, nevermind 8 hours in SEVERAL nursing homes and driving around. Even just processing drawn blood in a (backless) chair proved to be too much.
Since my back hurt a lot and my hip a little, they decided to treat me for back pain and concentrate of the budging discs in the lower spine..... and epidurals, intramuscular shots, steroids, etc, don't stop the pain. I shouldn't remain in this much pain if it was the back and how the back was treated.
Now my back is not too bad (still sore, but MUCH better), but my hip is much, much worse.
Basically nearly 4 months out from a fall on the ice, we're not much closer to figuring out what the hell needs to be done so I can go back to the job I was only at for 2 weeks before all this happened...... It's a depressing thing, and my family is starting to doubt my creditability that I actually hurt. =(


An elemental lung contest? Sounds interesting; I love lungs, I should give this a go! I really, really need to take my mind off RL things every once in a while!
